§ 8-31. Transfer of license.

A license may be transferred in connection with a bona fide sale or other transfer of the trade or business, profession or occupation, amusement or industry for which it was taken out, a bona fide sale or other transfer of the stock in trade of the business, or a transfer of the business from one location to another within the Town of Lady Lake. To obtain a transfer, the business owner must present the bill of sale for the business together with the original license of the transferor and a new application in the form specified in section 8-28 of this chapter, and pay a transfer fee of ten (10) percent of the license fee, not to exceed twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor to be less than three dollars ($3.00). The transferred license shall not be good for any longer time or in any other place than that for which it is issued. After approval of the transfer, the newly issued license shall be of the same force and effect as the original license.
